@jeder essentially all you need for the basic iceshrimp install on freebsd is just
pkg install dotnet git gmake

now, the jail itself it depends. personally? I didn't install git into my jail only gmake and dotnet (so i could build in the jail). I needed to do allow.mlock; in my jail.conf. Ideally, I'll make a section sometime later about how to make a FreeBSD rc service with man.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?daemon(8) and running under dotnet run because I could not get aot to work on FreeBSD 14.1 (I'll try again later lol)

@jeder also in the case of installing it on bare freebsd i'd probably go in and add documentation for setting up an iceshrimp.net service account to use with docs.freebsd.org/en/articles/rc-scripting/#rcng-daemon

@jeder yes, plus it gives me an excuse to dive deeper into service jails on FreeBSD. Ideally, the rc script would just run a service jail. docs.freebsd.org/en/articles/rc-scripting/#rcng-instancing but I'm nowhere near that level of confidence with FreeBSD yet.
