@jeder OK this is a cool one. They're defocus marks for IR film photography. The 70 and 105 indicate which mark applies at which zoom setting.

When shooting IR film you would after focusing turn the aligned number on the distance scale to the mark apropriate for your selected zoom level. The lack of one at 210 implies there's limits to the IR focusing of this lens, refer to the manual for details on that.

@SEGFAULT i am using dslr with this so it's probably not that important on it then?

(Don't do that if you like accurate color :P)
