we need a diy qmk trackball that has:
- non-shitty switches that doubleclick after 6 months unlike ploopy mini
- usb-c
- wireless capabilities
- a decent sensor

@jeder Sounds like something you could attempt to slap together. Have you considered taking a crack at it?

@tofu requires knowledge of soldering (but that's like the easiest part), of how to project pcbs (not so easy), and also porting qmk (hell nah)

@jeder I mean, if you have a hackerspace nearby, you could ask people around. I assume that pretty much any microcontroller would suffice, such as the rp2040. If it's an optical sensor, you'd just have to figure out how to interface with it, everything else should be fairly straightforward.
