the mood on bluesky seems to be shifting from "its just like old twitter! so nice and cozy" to "ugh why does this feel like the toxic twitter of recent memory again all of a sudden" and it's directly correlated with the number of people who are moving from twitter to bsky

glad we don't really seem to be having that problem here

@eniko yes, i have been seeing the shift to very current-twitter-like athmosphere over the course of last 5 years (so, since i've joined this place), with it accelerating after elon takeover, lots of unCWed us politics and shitlib takes that i'd rather not see even boosted on my timeline
yes, the drama is as stale as ever, but new people joining clearly don't want to understand the culture around here (mostly because they have already hijacked it anyway)
