@mikoto shit, now I want one I've been waiting to upgrade my rx580 for a while and tbh I don't really need the upgrade but I can afford it I hope it will actually be available here because the first generation was unbuyable
@novenary I'm waiting for a worthwhile upgrade from my 6800 xt which means I'm gonna have to wait a while longer. To be fair it was only a few years ago that I was using a vega 56 and before that an rx 560.
@mikoto I mean to be fair, I am spoiled by 4k I wouldn't want to go back to lower densities now but since I don't really play games a lot and I am happy with 1080p60 medium for those, yeah
@novenary@mikoto ngl I'd possibly go for b580 because like, I have an old 2560x1600 screen, I don't really give a shit about anything more than that, most intensive shit i can think of that I'd play is probably a bunch of vr stuff because I am absolutely unamused by all the current AAA slop, maybe cities skylines 2
tbh I don't really need a new graphic card either, and really mine is way overkill for the games I play (mostly cities skylines 1 and slime rancher these days)
@jeder@novenary i guess if you are looking at a new computer, the newer ryzen laptop cpus are pretty nice from what I've heard especially with the RDNA igpus
@mikoto@novenary like, I was thinking about something like ryzen 7 7700 (because it's like twice as cheap as 7800x3d and I am not paying 100% markup for 30% perf uplift) and pretty much anything from 7900 gre to b580
