@jeder i wish i would say this more often but i am mostly happy with iceshrimp dot net. and i use it. otherwise i would not be aaaaed by what i mentioned above. the frontend is coming along nicely, it does not have everything yet but it is wip and improving and you can tell. kopper's backfill pr is very cool and appreciated. it runs well and is fast and federation mostly works with most implementations and i like it. it has been very robust and easier to set up than other implementations. this is because shrimp dot net needs just a postgresql db (not redis, jon queues are also in the db) and a media storage (either local files or s3).
