Bruh, there is basically no modern replacement for Nikon D7000? Apparently if you want to keep feature parity in what matters[1], it's either D780, which is more expensive full-frame range, or just give up and go mirrorless (forget the old mount and all your lenses in that case).

[1] Namely the autofocus motor in the body and few other "compatibility" features for the old Nikon lenses.

@pony yeah, i'd love to get D7x00 because of autofocus motor without also getting something with older specs than mine D5300, so something like D7200 but it's all crazy expensive for some goddamn reason

@jeder I see reasonably cheap used D7200's, but that's 10 years old camera compared to 15 years old one so still like weird

@pony here the only reasonably cheap used D7200 (so like, below 2000?) seemed to always be the types that had like 200k shutter count and yeah nah
