Tried to add a + in my email to at least be able to filter by recipient, it doesn't like it either. This is just silly.

@puniko I literally pay for an option to generate aliases that don't have a + sign in them or anything that you could strip out easily.

@puniko It's not email, it's crazy abuse lists and filtering. I remember back in the day being denied to go through the email input when registering because the email I had at the time wasn't a popular global provider, but a local .pl domain. It almost feels like some companies out there have this weird gmail or die attitude.

@hiker @jeder @tofu i mean more the convoluted mess it has become by all the stuff that got added on top of it. like multipart content alone is already a huge mess. html in body is a huge mess. interop between servers is more like a guessing game for the more advanced features (like + alias is still not supported by some mail servers for some weird reason)
