polish supreme court decided to, uh, simplify legal process of changing the gender marker, apparently, thanks ziobro for your inquiry that was meant to make it worse!
you still have to "prove" that you are transgender but you no longer have to sue your parents

@jeder isn't it that while the marker change includes a name change there's also another complicated process for doing a name change alone?

@kat_cal2 well, people do this without changing the marker, changing the marker also involves changing the name

@kat_cal2 changing the name is separate only if you do not change the marker/void the birth certificate at the court, at least that's how i understand it

@kat_cal2 @jeder the process for doing a name change is well.. you go to a registration office and submit a form, specifically your new name cannot conflict with your legal gender (non-gendered names allowed either way) and you must have some sort of documentation proving you've been using the new name for a while
