The new MacBook Air is price-matched with the M2, but comes with the M4, and they finally loosened the external display limitation (now it supports up to two external displays and the internal display at the same time).

@asie (i think that limitation got lifted with m3 but of course that's not there)

@jeder M3 did not lift the limitation as much; it supported two displays total, so either two external displays, or one external and one internal display. The M4 can drive two external displays and one internal display at the same time.
