PSA: There seems to be a host of stable #kindle#jailbreak s out there. If you, like me, have an older Kindle lying around, don't let it connect to Amazon for the latest firmware updates. Instead, head over to kindlemodding.org/jailbreaking/kindle-models.html and follow the instructions.
@jeder@benthor for the WatchThis jailbreak, you need to have at best firmware version 5.14.2, but, I've just realized, there's now also Winterbreak which should work on newer firmware
@confusomu@benthor yeah i have just used winterbreak but i can't seem to get koreader working, even though i have installed the good build (kindlehf, since i have 5.16.5)
@jeder@confusomu but if KUAL is already working, then the jailbreak must have worked. Which koreader version did you pick and how did you try to install it?
@benthor@confusomu i got a latest nightly version for kindlehf because there's no other version for it and i just dropped the extracted folders into the root of the kindle
