idfk but i litterally ran into this problem, VM with 3 cores wouldnt start it. switched it to 4 and it worked. why is this even a thing
""Fun"" Microsoft SQL Server facts: in SQL server 2005, you cannot run the server if you have a 3 core cpu. or if your core count is not a power of 2. and some other bullshit rules.
