is the model of relying on distros for packaging 3rd party code even sustainable like

that seems like a lot of manpower that needs to be replicated for every single distro that does this

this has been on my mind for a while but expressing these kinda thoughts on fedi usually results in "you're fucking dumb shut the fuck up you don't know shit" and like
