I have a Sony WM-D6C and tried to use it after not using for months. But it seems that there is an issue with the tape advance mechanism. It can wind forward and rewind just fine, dubbing also works a little, but the right tape winder only moves slightly and stops a lot.
So having seen pictures of it disassembled I dread the idea of taking apart alone (scary). I would assume that it may be something with the belt? I know the original purchaser and it never had any serious maintenance especially not in the last two decades.
Got any resources / ideas on what to do? How do I find the correct belt?
