@piggo@kaia@schappi@jeder there's plenty of barely-an-hour flights in europe, but then you'd probably be really annoyed at all the waiting at the airports and stuff, the time spent in-plane is then very high ratio to in-air time
@kaia@piggo@jeder tbf it would still reduce carbon output per person, if we manage to transport more people. flights are too cheap right now from an environmental standpoint. especially compared to trains. and they got cheaper over the last 100 years. (i dont find graphics covering a bigger time frame)
air traffic seems to actually reduce its prices with reduced costs so far
