Planning my trip to Vienna
Apparently the cheapest and the safest ticketing option for me is to get ticket for BE to Miedzylesie for like 10 euro (in Koleo), then another 10 euro (on
Intercity.pl) for Miedzylesie-Lichkov and then Lichkov-Wien Hbf for like 36 euro. Around 56 euros for the whole route, which is, well, fine.

Pic related, but it's not for this configuration. But damn, ticketing to Germany got much easier in the recent years (as I can buy anything from Danzig to anyplace in BRD, even if I change in Poznan) and it's often cheaper to buy @
bahn.de rather than split it somewhere, even though I have a 51% discount in the PKPIC area, but ticketing to Austria is still a pain (and yeah, splitting works, as you can see by me paying 10 euros for freaking 8 minutes between Miedzylesie and Lichkov and still getting the best possible offer).

I mean, why should I care, it's a business trip anyway (but my department is quite short on travel money, so the more frugal I am, the more conferences they are able to pay for)

Okeeey, my friend reminded me that CD has cheaper tickets for the border crossing, so my department will save 6.50 euros. Good
