@NeonPurpleStar i use a fairly recent thinkstation in the computer lab. The specs are decent, but lenovo's bloatware can be annoying and the peripherals suck ass.
@NeonPurpleStar@Reiddragon@gettie tbh thinkpads are overrated like, I can fathom recommending t480 because of being able to have bigger battery than a lot of laptops (and next generations of thinkpads) but it's also getting slow, and it's a thinkpad
@jeder@NeonPurpleStar@gettie about the only thing they have going is the somewhat large community for modding them, but thesedays we have MNT if hacking the hardware is your thing, and Framework ain't half bad there, either, from what I've heard

@NeonPurpleStar@Reiddragon@gettie like, for a price of a premium laptop you will get all kinds of firmware problems imaginable, support will not help you, will send you a board which has the same problem and only a fw nerd would actually diagnose wtf is up
