Discord embeds for Mastodon posts are getting a lot better! You should see better images and videos, better formatting, better context styling, and support for embedding a wider variety of posts. This is rolling out now, so you should see it start to take effect in the coming hours. Let me know if you run into any problems!

Hello, how can I hijack this embed system in wafrn? I would like to also have cool embeds and given the extreme size of my platform id like to figure it out haha.

@gabboman - provide an endpoint exposing ActivityPub representation of each public post
- put a <link rel="alternate" type="application/activity+json"> on each post page, pointing to the ActivityPub representation

@gabboman the UA will contain Discordbot/2.0

also note in the future if it becomes more common for non-Bluesky sites to implement ATProto, we might add support for looking up posts from a <link rel="alternate" href="…">

tbh I don't really get the point of authorized fetch in general, but in your particular case it's extra-confusing because posts are also accessible via ATProto, and Bluesky provides an unauthenticated proxy for those anyway

Auth fetch is useful to avoid blocked instances to fetch an user post


The big nazi instances have their tools.


Not all users have bsky enabled but I guess i could pass that as alternate
