you're telling me the canadian FLIRTs are only running at 80km/h??
the train that can famously do 160/200 is being limited to measly 80?????

@ptrc OC Transpo the Ottawa transit. So I don't expect them to run high-speed. Line 2 that run the FLIRT is 19km

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line_2_(O-Train)

(also in Canada a train that goes above 100km/h is a very rare sight)

@jeder @ptrc from somebody who used to take the Lille-Paris TGV as his commuter train over 20 years ago, I know quite well (I have been living in Canada since). Here 160 km/h is high speed. It's even the weak target in their "High-Speed rail report"
