@jeder i doubt DB uses them much themselves except for planning
it's mostly really for people who use long distance trains like regional trains (so me for example), it's quite convenient to know that Karlsruhe is served every two hours by line 43 that goes to Hamburg, and every (other) two hours by line 12 to Berlin, and so we mostly have an hourly ICE schedule for north/southbound trains
@quinn I don't really see any sense of using them if they don't expose them like in Czechia where every line is shown on displays and you can expect what you are getting
