@jeder first of all, you got the order backwards, secondly, it's possible to have an attack where piping things like that can be detected, and you get different code sent entirely, letting you seemingly take precautions and still get pwned
@jeder random shell script that does fuck knows what and "adds shortcuts" is exactly what i would run on a system i have some plans on continuing to use. didnt even find for what DE it works
