everywhere I look, folks are overcomplicating their infra setups for very little benefit :L

i’m yearning for the raw experience of manually maintaining servers, instead of (metaphorically) putting on nitrile gloves to remote-control a robot that will “do it for you”

@domi i use docker for my various minecraft servers because it find it faster to copy paste the same docker compose ive been using for years than to manually deploy the server files

@weirdtreething i think it shows that I’m old because when I started hosting minecraft servers, docker wasn’t even a thing yet xD
