still pissed that fucking Russian Railways could do very long-distance direct sleeper services across multiple countries and involving very complicated shunting maneuvers but "we" (as in, other european operators) are a bunch of whiny bitches who often struggle with mere day-running cross border trains
@rail also, the sheer amount of carriages on that second picture! meanwhile PKP just sends 2 carriages on the international routes, not to mention the couchette shortages
@ptrc i have no clue at what kind of loss did RZhD run these connections but they ran them for years and kept investing money in these fancy Siemens coaches so i guess it was at least vaguely worth it, at least for marketing reasons
