@quinn @rail @rampagerslife i'm not sure i follow, Spandau is still way more significant than either W-Okęcie or W-Lotnisko Chopina, having four platforms, S-Bahn connections to alternative paths and a massive mall attached to it

PKP seriously dropped the ball on this one, so the station is just a single terminus platform with two tracks, and max 4 trains per hour, with not much capacity for more of anything

not to mention that W-Okęcie is in the middle of nowhere with hilariously long viaduct pathways just to get to a bus stop (pictured)

@ptrc @rail @rampagerslife Düsseldorf Flughafen would have a similar layout here, with just two tracks at the terminal stop, and the reason why it works for Fernverkehr being the SkyTrain

@quinn @rail @rampagerslife but then, Düsseldorf Flughafen (the station) is also placed on a line that connects with Hbf on one side and the rest of Ruhr on the other side, so there's more demand for proper long-distance traffic

south of Warszawa Okęcie there's... well, you
can connect to Kraków, but most trains take the proper "high"-speed line instead, so it's only used for ICs that connect with other cities on the way
