@jeder iirc some of the more expensive manufacturers have reject batches of products where the product is safe to eat etc. but doesn't live up to quality standards otherwise. (idk, not enough honey in the stroopwafel or 40% of the wafels are broken in half or something)

So they sell those for cheaper, afaik.
Or leftovers that have been sitting a while in storage, not past their expiry date, but getting somewhat close. thinking_cirno

At least that's what I anecdotally assume since between certain stores in NL, I can tell a difference even though it's the same product from the same namebrand 🥴
