the state of transport is so sad sometimes. dortmund-budapest plane costs 130 eur with 20kg bag, takes 3hr for the whole trip with security and waiting for the luggage
dortmund-budapest train doesn’t exists, but you can get there in 230 eur and 14hr with 4 transfers. if you’re lucky. even though it could be 1 transfer through warsaw
@rail there are 1 transfer rides through berlin, but still expensive and even more - 16hr there are 2 transfers options that should take 13hr, but in practice will take same 15-16hr cause DB will never make that 15min connection. also costs 180+ eur
@byte@rail i have no idea how you’re finding these but the most sensible connection in 1 week returned by DB has a +40 difference, and so does pretty much every other one
