the macbook neo is weird because, it has an A18 Pro SoC. the same SoC that is in my phone.

so you're telling me, this SoC when in a MacBook can run RPCS3 and Minecraft, but gets brought to its knees when I try to use the Telegram messaging app

@tay To be fair, the power and heat budget in your iPhone is WAY stricter than what they can get away with in a Laptop. Just sheer volume of metal means they can push the CPU significantly harder for longer, plus the many times larger battery.

@jeder @tay For somthing like that I don't honestly it expects it needs active cooling at least; It's already staying reasonable in an iPhone. But now you have LOT more surface area with a Laptop, right? With just chassis cooling it, the bottom, top, just all of that sweet sweet surface area, I expect you could get away with a sustained 15W, which is already way higher than an iPhone can budget, with boosted frequencies pushing that upwards of 25-30W, which is significantly beyond anything an iPhone can do. THIS IS SPITBALLING, NOT ACTUAL NUMBERS.
