a story in two parts
An email from Vercel, my previous hosting provider for some stuff, titled: "Approaching your limits: Upgrade now to avoid service disruption". The email, which was received at 8:33 AM, reads: "Your site is growing! Your free team limes-inc has used 75% of the included free tier usage for Fluid Active CPU (4 hours). If you exceed the included free usage, your projects will be automatically paused. You can also upgrade to Pro for more included usage and the ability to pay on-demand."
Another email from Vercel, received only 12 minutes later, titled: "Your sites are offline: Upgrade to resume service". The email reads: "Your site is growing! Your free team limes-inc has used 1465% of the included free tier usage for Fluid Active CPU (4 hours). Your account has been paused. Upgrade to Pro to resume service for your projects."
