throwback to when the teachers at my oop course wanted to teach students the Good Practice of Not Commiting Binaries To The Repository, so they took away points when someone commited gradle wrapper into the repo, not accounting for the fact that in the java ecosystem the Good Practice is to Commit The Binaries Into The Repository

@krotka i still don't get why we're teaching students Git in the third semester, rather than moving that to 1st sem Unix classes tbh

honestly the real reason is that the faculty forgot about git, so the first and only introduction to it is on the subject that was absolutely forced to do it

@krotka i'm starting to think that maybe consulting a bunch of local corpos on your syllabus rather than conducting thoughtful and extensive research on what should be changed was an abysmally bad move

@krotka there's still no git in 1st sem, but at least we have 4 semesters of physics and a "digital hygiene" filler class, hallelujah!
