German politics, sick leave
It’s actually insane that, for some insane reason, Chancellor Merz is cracking down on sick leave by making it a requirement to present a medical note from day oneGod damn, the UK only makes a note a requirement from the second week of sickness
So Merz expects every German to clog up the doctor’s office, wasting valuable medical time, so that they can get a note? That’s ofc, assuming you can get a GP appointment, which is never guaranteed
So what if you can’t get a doctor’s note?
What next from Merz? Perhaps he will make everyone do mandatory overtime like in Greece? Maybe ban companies from giving anything more than four weeks of annual leave?
This guy is an absolute joke, a horror show
How does it make Germany more productive if workers have to be scared of getting sick? And how does this make healthcare more effective if doctors and waiting rooms are clogged up with people who DON’T NEED TO BE THERE
