Doesn't matter though; reliability should be comparable at that tier of product.
As far as bleeding-edge performance stuff goes, it's always a crapshoot, and the additional space for a full-sized card often affords more storage or higher speed memory.
But effectively, if you buy say, a 128gb A3 microsd and full size SD, there shouldn't be much difference at this point in the product development cycle.
@nano @shyra@jeder@ShadowJonathan As store brands go, sure, but they presumably don't actually manufacture these things. Not sure who the ODM would be.
I'd guess the Sandisk Extreme card in my DSLR isn't quite like this, though I haven't taken one apart.
@jeder @ShadowJonathan@shyra@nano Even if the silicon dies were identical to microSD cards, I'd expect the big name manufacturers not to package them this way, with the plastic casing for a microSD card inside that for an SD card.
This would probably only be done by a company that does not themselves manufacture microSD cards.
to answer your question seriously, Iβve had the best luck with SanDisk Extreme cards. My reliability issues so far have been the readers failing on me.
I think Iβve gone through four USB3 SD card readers at this point
