don't use captcha, instead push for manageable (small-ish) instances with regulated registration, as in, mandatory reason box, and if that is too much for you, maybe just don't host a public instance

@jeder eventually i plan to open awawa.cat for registrations but yeah, vibe checks will be the way. Plays nice with smol web movement

Either way probably will stay as a single user instance just with registrations open :blobcat_dunno:
