the noctua 4080 is a 5 slot card, so about 10cm high and a pcie x16 is somewhere in the same region

@soph @jeder most people would have absolutely no use for a 3090, yeah

the 3070 is what I'd recommend going for nowadays, price hovers at around 350€ there (with some as low as 250€)

Ada Lovelace added frame-generation, Blackwell enhances that framegen
Blackwell is a lot more space efficient, so it likely uses less power
Starting with Ada there's also an NVENC AV1 module

Ada Lovelace is also quite a bit faster than Ampere spinny_cat
Certainly not worth the money to do an upgrade though imo
